 Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am

** Please be aware all production jobs are in the NON-climate controlled warehouse and require light lifting and standing for long periods of time on a busy production line. If you are looking for a job to sit around in air conditioning this is probably not a good fit for you. **

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for maintaining flow of cans to completion on aerosol production line including can unscrambling, cap placement and can tipping as outlined in Quality Control Manual.

I. CAN UN-SCRAMBLING

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

Verify in detail all components necessary for next product per packaging ticket (marble, lined/16 oz., 20 oz., etc.)

2) Ensure total removal of raw material (cans).

3) Any partial pallets will be covered and sealed with packaging ticket in place.

4) A detailed count of scrap will be reported to machine operator of prior product (raw material).

5) Verify that raw material is in compliance with packaging ticket.

6) Cans will be inspected as prescribed in basic Quality Control.

7) Report to supervisor upon completion of all guidelines stated above.

8) Maintain and assist in production efficiency.

9) No scratches, dents, rust, etc. Refer to basic Quality Control sheet.

10) As time allows, assist in final assembly of product.

11) Keep constant watch on scrap cans and report scrap count to operator at end of run.

12) Wrap pallet so cans will not fall off during transport.

13) Cover all open containers at end of shift to keep out any foreign matter.

14) Ensure that all Personal Protective requirements have been met.

 

II. AEROSOL CAP PLACEMENT

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

1) Review information on packaging ticket.

2) Remove caps if necessary, and mark box as to amount of caps contained in box and mark "PARTIAL" on outside of box.

3) Ensure enough caps are placed on line as not to hamper efficiency of production.

4) Keep a visual check on product.

5) Make sure tip has been properly placed prior to assembly of over cap.

6) Make sure can is clean and has no residue on top or sides.

7) Make timely checks of can code.

8) Remove all caps if packaging ticket indicates.

9) Cover caps at end of shift.

 

III. AEROSOL TIPPING

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:

1) Review information on packaging ticket.

2) Close and tape box containing tips.

3) Mark outside of box partial.

4) Place used tips in proper place, and pull new tips as outlined on packaging ticket.

5) Make sure enough tips have been pulled, as not to hamper production efficiency.

6) Keep a visual check on product.

7) Make sure can has not been damaged in gassing room.

8) Remove all dirty cans after code has been imprinted on bottom.

9) Make timely checks of can code.

10) Remove all tips from flow.

11) Check packaging ticket and remove old tips.

- Ensure that all Personal Protective Equipment requirements are met.

- Verify with supervisor as to end of production

- Keep area in a high state of police

- Report any problems to supervisor immediately

- Any other duties or projects which may be assigned by the Supervisor
